Product Description:

The Norgren pressure regulator series delivers accurate and dependable management of compressed air pressure throughout various industrial pneumatic systems. This extensive product lineup features multiple types, including miniature regulators from the R07 series, modular Excelon regulators in the R72G, R73G, and R74G series, large-port inline regulators belonging to the R17 series, and pilot-operated high-flow regulators from the R18 series. All models ensure a consistent downstream pressure despite fluctuations in inlet pressure or variations in flow demand, thereby safeguarding pneumatic components and guaranteeing uniform operational efficiency.

Among these, the R07 series miniature regulators are specifically engineered for tight spaces. They boast a zinc body combined with an acetal bonnet, along with a low-torque, non-rising adjustment knob that includes a snap-action lock for secure settings. The Excelon series—comprising the R72G, R73G, and R74G regulators—feature a balanced valve design that reduces the impact of changes in inlet pressure on the outlet pressure. These can be installed as standalone inline units or integrated into a modular Excelon air preparation system using Quickclamp connections for ease of maintenance.

The R17 series caters to applications requiring high-flow regulation with larger port sizes, up to G1-1/2, and supports flow rates as high as 441 SCFM. Complementing this, the R18 series includes pilot-operated regulators intended for setups where pressure control must be managed from a remote or hard-to-reach location. These pilot regulators not only enable remote installation but also provide an exceptionally high relief flow capacity, enhancing system safety and control.

All Norgren pressure regulators are compatible with compressed air, argon, and nitrogen gases, and can handle maximum inlet pressures up to 31 bar (450 psi), depending on the specific model. Additionally, their relieving design allows the downstream pressure to be safely reduced when the system becomes dead-ended, ensuring reliable and safe operation in all conditions.

Features:

Our product lineup offers a complete range of sizes, starting from the miniature G1/8 (R07) model to the large port G2 (R18), ensuring compatibility with virtually any pneumatic system requirement.

The balanced valve design found in the R72G, R73G, and R74G series effectively minimizes the impact of variations in inlet pressure on the outlet pressure, providing stable and consistent pressure regulation.

Equipped with a relieving operation feature, the system allows for the safe and controlled release of downstream pressure when the system is dead-ended, enhancing overall safety.

The Modular Excelon system enables quick and easy attachment of R72G, R73G, and R74G regulators to filters, oilers, soft-start valves, and pipe adapters via Quickclamp connections, simplifying installation and maintenance.

The R07 series is designed with a compact zinc body and an acetal bonnet, making it ideal for installations where space is limited.

Featuring a low torque non-rising adjusting knob, both the R07 and Excelon series include a snap-action knob that locks the pressure setting when pushed in, improving ease of use and reliability.

Maintenance is made simple with tool-free disassembly, allowing the regulators to be taken apart without the need for tools or removal from the air line.

For applications requiring pressure regulation at inaccessible locations, the R18 series offers a pilot-operated option that supports remote pilot installation.

The R18 series also delivers exceptionally high relief flow rates, enabling rapid reduction of downstream pressure when necessary.

Flow capacity is impressive across the range, with the R17 series reaching up to 441 SCFM and the R18 series capable of flows up to 2000 SCFM.

The products cover a wide pressure range: 0.3 to 7 bar for R07, 0.3 to 10 bar for R72G/R73G/R74G, 0.3 to 8.5 bar for R17, and 0.16 to 17 bar for R18.

They also operate within a broad temperature range. The R07 series supports from -20°C to +65°C; R72G from -34°C to +65°C; R73G and R74G from -34°C to +80°C; and R18 from -20°C to +80°C.

Multiple body materials are used to ensure durability and resistance to corrosion, including zinc for R07 and R72G, and aluminium for R73G, R74G, R17, and R18 models.

Standard seals are made from nitrile (NBR) elastomers, providing reliable performance with compressed air and inert gases.

Full flow gauge ports are incorporated, allowing for pressure monitoring without causing any airflow restriction.

Additionally, optional pressure gauges are available depending on the model, allowing customers to choose units with or without gauges based on their specific needs.

Applications:

Industrial automation relies heavily on precise pressure control for pneumatic actuators, cylinders, and valves used throughout manufacturing lines. Maintaining accurate pressure levels ensures smooth and efficient operation of these critical components.

In the realm of pneumatic tools, a regulated air supply is essential for equipment such as air tools, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and spray guns. Consistent pressure enhances tool performance and extends their operational lifespan.

Packaging machinery also benefits from stable air pressure, which is vital for form-fill-seal machines, labeling systems, and cartoning equipment. Proper pressure regulation helps maintain production quality and reduces downtime.

The food and beverage processing industry demands clean and well-regulated air for its packaging and processing machinery. Ensuring air purity and correct pressure levels contributes to product safety and process reliability.

Material handling applications use pressure control to optimize the function of conveyors, pick-and-place systems, and vacuum handling devices. Accurate pressure regulation supports efficient movement and positioning of materials.

Textile machinery requires air regulation for various operations such as weaving, knitting, and yarn processing. Proper pressure control helps maintain process consistency and product quality in textile manufacturing.

Within automotive assembly, air supply management is crucial for paint shops, assembly tools, and testing equipment. Controlling pressure ensures precise application and reliable operation across different production stages.

For locations that are remote or difficult to access, R18 pilot-operated regulators provide reliable pressure regulation. These specialized regulators are designed to function effectively even at hard-to-reach points in a system.

Multi-pressure systems benefit from Excelon modular regulators, which enable multiple regulated pressures derived from a single source of compressed air. This flexibility supports complex pneumatic setups with diverse pressure requirements.

In general pneumatics, any application that demands precise and stable regulation of compressed air or inert gases can rely on these advanced pressure control solutions. They ensure optimal performance across a wide range of industrial uses.
