The seals are made from premium materials, with the piston and rod seals crafted from high-quality NBR (nitrile rubber) and the bumper manufactured from durable urethane. This combination ensures excellent resistance to wear, compression set, and the common pneumatic media encountered during operation. The MU series plate cylinders feature an oval piston design that inherently prevents rotation without the need for a rod with flats, thereby enhancing the longevity of both bearings and seals.
Regularly replacing seals using these kits helps restore optimal cylinder performance, prevents air leakage, and significantly prolongs the service life of existing actuators—all at a much lower cost compared to full replacements.
