Each kit includes all the essential sealing components necessary for a comprehensive cylinder rebuild, such as the piston seal, rod seal, and bumper.
The seals are made from premium materials: NBR (nitrile rubber) is used for the piston and rod seals, while the bumper is constructed from durable urethane. This combination ensures excellent resistance to wear, compression set, and common pneumatic media. The MU series plate cylinders feature an oval-shaped piston design that inherently prevents rotation without needing a rod with flats, which enhances the longevity of both bearings and seals.
Regularly replacing seals with these kits helps to restore the cylinder’s original performance, prevents air leakage, and significantly extends the service life of your existing actuators, all at a much lower cost compared to purchasing new units.
Please note that the seal kit does not include a grease pack. If lubrication is required, the grease pack must be ordered separately. The recommended grease pack part number is GR-S-010, which contains 10 grams.
