Product Description:

The VAS series consists of industrial vacuum suction cups specifically engineered for dependable gripping, lifting, and handling of workpieces within automated and semi-automated production environments. These suction cups come in a variety of seven different diameters, ranging from 15 mm to 125 mm, accommodating a broad spectrum of workpiece sizes and weights. Each suction cup is equipped with a fixed threaded connection—available in G1/8, G1/4, or G3/8 depending on the size—allowing for direct attachment to vacuum generators, grippers, and handling systems.

To address diverse workpiece surfaces and environmental conditions, the VAS series offers three different suction cup materials. Nitrile Rubber (NBR) serves as a versatile material suitable for general industrial applications, providing excellent resistance to oils, abrasion, and wear. Polyurethane (PUR) is chosen for its extended service life and its gentle touch, making it ideal for delicate or sensitive surfaces due to its softer composition. Silicone (SI), known for its high temperature resistance, is particularly appropriate for use within the food industry and other sectors requiring enhanced temperature capabilities.

The suction cups come in two distinct shapes to meet various operational needs. The round flat variant (VAS) is designed for smooth, flat workpieces with well-finished surfaces. In contrast, the protective bellows shape (VASB) offers height compensation and flexibility, making it suitable for uneven, curved, or textured surfaces where shock absorption and adaptability are crucial. Compliant with RoHS standards and operating with atmospheric air according to ISO 8573-1:2010, these suction cups are widely employed in applications such as lifting, equipping, moving, inserting, conveying, gripping, holding, stacking, clamping, transporting, repositioning, and turning components within flexible automation systems.

Features:

Our product offers seven diameter options ranging from 15 mm to 125 mm, accommodating a broad spectrum of workpiece sizes and weight requirements. This flexibility ensures suitability across various industrial applications.

There are three material choices available to meet different operational needs: NBR, ideal for universal industrial use; PUR, designed for extended service life and gentle handling; and silicone, suited for high-temperature environments and applications within the food industry.

The suction cups come in two distinctive shapes. The round flat type (VAS) is perfect for smooth surfaces, while the protective bellows design (VASB) caters to uneven or curved surfaces, providing effective height compensation.

Fixed threaded connections are offered in sizes G1/8, G1/4, or G3/8 depending on the suction cup size, allowing for direct mounting without the need for additional adapters.

Built with robust and reliable construction, these components are engineered to handle demanding industrial gripping and handling tasks efficiently and consistently.

Regarding material properties, NBR features a Shore hardness of 70 ± 5, striking a good balance between flexibility and wear resistance for general-purpose gripping. PUR has a Shore hardness of 60 ± 5, providing a softer texture ideal for the gentle treatment of sensitive workpieces. Silicone offers a Shore hardness of 55 ± 5, combining softness with high-temperature resistance, making it suitable for food-related and heat-exposed applications.

The materials conform to LABS (PWIS) standards according to VDMA24364-A1-L, ensuring compatibility with paint-wetting impairment-sensitive environments. Additionally, the suction cups have a corrosion resistance class of CRC 2, which signifies moderate tolerance to corrosion stress typically found in industrial settings.

Environmentally friendly design is ensured with full RoHS compliance. The standard operating temperature range is from -20°C to +80°C for NBR, while silicone variants provide extended temperature capabilities for more demanding conditions.

Finally, the nominal operating pressure is set at -0.7 bar, optimized to facilitate efficient vacuum generation and maintain a reliable holding force throughout the gripping process.
