Product Description:

The SMC KQG2 series of stainless steel one-touch pneumatic fittings provide engineers with reliable performance and excellent protection against corrosion, chemicals and high temperatures. These high-performance fittings offer an array of benefits, including being 30% smaller and 62% lighter than traditional fittings. With their compact design, these fittings can be used with tubing diameters ranging from 3.2mm to 16mm.

The KQG2 series is also exceptionally versatile, and suitable for use with a wide variety of compressed air, water and steam systems. It has an operating pressure range of (-100kPa to 1MPa) and temperature conditions (-5°C to +150°C). Moreover, they are manufactured from SUS316 stainless steel, a higher grade than SUS304 stainless steel. This higher-grade stainless steel offers improved pitting and corrosion resistance abilities, particularly in chloride environments.

Features: 

This product is highly compact and light, with approx. 30% shorter dimensions and approx. 62% lighter weight when compared with the KQGL06-01S. It is made of stainless steel 316 for its metal parts as well as special FKM for its seal parts. It can be used with a wide variety of tubing materials, such as FEP, PFA, nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane and polyolefin, at temperatures ranging from -5 to 150°c. Moreover, it is grease-free, making it suitable for use with steam as well.

The applicable fluids are Air, Water and Steam (note 3).

The operating pressure range is -100 kPa to 1 MPa (note 4), with a proof pressure of up to 3.0 MPa.

The ambient and fluid temperature is within the range of -5 to 150°C (note 5). The temperature shall not freeze and does not require any lubricant.

The sealant should be applied on the threads.

For FEP tubing/TH Series, the condition of mounting the inner sleeve should not be lower than 80°C. For Super PFA tubing/TL Series, the temperature should not be lower than 120°C.
