Santoprene is a top-tier thermoplastic elastomer created by cross-linking EPDM rubber with polypropylene. This combination offers the elasticity and flexibility characteristic of rubber, alongside the durability and ease of processing typical of thermoplastics. Due to these qualities, Santoprene diaphragms are extensively utilized in fluid-handling systems, boasting a long flex life, excellent abrasion resistance, and broad chemical tolerance. PTFE, or polytetrafluoroethylene, represents the most chemically inert synthetic material known today.
