Product Description:

The SANDPIPER 286 series pump diaphragms serve as premium replacement membranes, specifically engineered for SANDPIPER (Warren Rupp) air-operated double diaphragm pumps. Crafted from high-quality materials such as Red Santoprene, PTFE (Teflon), Neoprene (chloroprene rubber), and PTFE composite with backing, these diaphragms deliver outstanding chemical resistance, extensive flex life, and dependable sealing performance tailored to meet the rigorous demands of industrial applications.

Red Santoprene is a versatile thermoplastic elastomer that merges the elasticity and flexibility of rubber with the toughness and processability inherent in thermoplastics. This material is renowned for its excellent abrasion resistance, wide chemical compatibility, and prolonged flex life, making it ideal for managing abrasive slurries and moderately aggressive chemicals. In contrast, PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as Teflon, is recognized as the most chemically inert material currently available. It offers almost universal chemical resistance over the entire pH range of 0 to 14 and can endure exposure to harsh chemicals and elevated temperatures.

Neoprene, or chloroprene rubber, is known for its solid oil resistance, wear resistance, aging resistance, and heat resistance. Its remarkable flexibility combined with cost-effectiveness makes it suitable for general-purpose applications involving non-corrosive fluids. Additionally, the PTFE composite diaphragms incorporate a PTFE layer securely bonded to a reinforced backing, which enhances both durability and chemical protection.

Whether employed as original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacements or used for routine maintenance, the SANDPIPER 286 series pump diaphragms provide the precision, reliability, and longevity essential to critical industrial fluid handling operations. These diaphragms are compatible with a variety of SANDPIPER pumps, including the BQG series and other models of Warren Rupp air-operated double diaphragm pumps.

Features:

Premium Material Options

We offer a variety of premium material choices including Red Santoprene, PTFE, Neoprene, and PTFE composite with backing. These options are designed to meet diverse application needs and ensure optimal performance.

Red Santoprene Diaphragms

Red Santoprene diaphragms combine the elasticity of rubber with the toughness of thermoplastics. They deliver excellent abrasion resistance, extended flex life, and a wide range of chemical compatibility, making them suitable for demanding environments.

PTFE Diaphragms

PTFE diaphragms offer nearly universal chemical resistance, effectively functioning across the entire pH spectrum from 0 to 14. They are capable of withstanding harsh chemicals and elevated temperatures, providing reliable performance in aggressive conditions.

Neoprene Diaphragms

Neoprene diaphragms provide good resistance to oils, wear, aging, and heat. With outstanding flexibility and cost-effectiveness, they are ideal for general-purpose applications requiring durability and economy.

PTFE Composite with Backing

The PTFE composite diaphragms feature a PTFE layer bonded to a reinforced backing. This construction enhances both durability and chemical protection, making them suitable for more challenging environments.

Superior Flex Life

Engineered specifically for high-cycle applications, these diaphragms are capable of enduring millions of strokes, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation.

Wide Size Range

A broad selection of sizes is available, ranging from 1/2 inch up to 410 millimeters in diameter. This variety accommodates numerous pump models and application requirements.

Fabric Reinforced Construction

The incorporation of fabric reinforcement provides improved strength and enhances pressure resistance, making these diaphragms suitable for demanding industrial conditions.

Nylon Fabric Reinforcement

Diaphragms reinforced with nylon fabric have demonstrated an actual service life exceeding 2,000 hours and withstanding over 12 million operating cycles, highlighting their durability and resilience.
