Product Description:

Burkert 6013 Series Solenoid Valves

The Burkert 6013 series consists of direct-acting plunger solenoid valves specially engineered to provide reliable control over both neutral and aggressive gases and liquids. These valves are widely utilized in industrial automation and process applications, where precision and durability are essential. Their compact design incorporates a welded stopper and a plunger guide tube, significantly enhancing their pressure resistance and ensuring leak-tight operation. This robust construction guarantees long-term reliability, even in the most demanding environments.

Available as 2/2-way normally closed valves (Circuit Function C), the 6013 series offers multiple port sizes, including G1/8, G1/4, and G3/8. The valves feature a diverse range of orifice diameters—2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, and 6.0 mm—providing exceptional flexibility to accommodate various flow requirements, from precise dosing to higher volume applications. The valve bodies come in brass or stainless steel options, and the standard seal material is FKM (fluororubber). These seals support media temperatures ranging from -10°C up to +100°C, with special versions capable of handling temperatures as high as +120°C.

Featuring a direct-acting plunger mechanism, these valves operate effectively at pressures ranging from 0 bar up to 25 bar, depending on orifice size and voltage. This capability makes them well-suited for applications where zero differential pressure operation is required, including technical vacuum conditions. Each valve is equipped with a robust epoxy-encapsulated coil consuming either 8W or 10W of power, allowing for a 100% continuous duty cycle without overheating. Voltage options include DC24V, AC24V, and AC220V, accommodating a ±10% voltage tolerance for versatile installation environments.

The modular design of the 6013 series facilitates versatile mounting options such as individual installation, flange connection, or integration into a manifold system via a sub-base. An optional manual override feature aids in smooth commissioning and maintenance activities. When paired with an appropriate cable plug conforming to DIN EN 175301-803 Form A, the valves achieve an IP65 protection rating. Additionally, they offer rapid response times, with opening completed in 20 milliseconds and closing in 30 milliseconds. Thanks to their compact footprint, these valves deliver dependable, leak-tight performance in installations where space is limited. Furthermore, ATEX-certified versions are available to meet the safety requirements of hazardous area applications.

Features:

The direct-acting operation ensures dependable switching capability ranging from 0 bar up to 25 bar, with no minimum differential pressure needed. This makes it perfectly suited for vacuum and low-pressure scenarios.

Featuring a compact and space-saving design, the device has a small footprint and supports orifice diameters up to DN 6.0. This makes it ideal for installations where space is limited, such as manifold assemblies or tight mounting locations.

Constructed with a welded stopper and plunger guide tube, the unit boasts enhanced pressure resistance and superior leak-tightness, guaranteeing reliable performance over the long term.

Multiple body materials are offered, including brass and stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and suitability for both neutral and aggressive media.

To accommodate various flow requirements, there are versatile options for ports and orifices available. Port sizes include G1/8, G1/4, and G3/8, while orifice diameters range from 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm.

The normally closed configuration, also known as circuit function C (NC), ensures fail-safe operation, meeting essential needs for process control applications.

The product supports a wide voltage range, available in DC24V, AC24V, and AC220V variants. Power consumption options include 8W or 10W, making it compatible with global power standards.

Designed for continuous use, it supports a 100% duty cycle without risk of overheating, providing dependable reliability even during extended operation.

Fast response times make it suitable for demanding automation tasks, with an opening time of 20 milliseconds and a closing time of 30 milliseconds.

Standard FKM (fluororubber) sealing materials grant excellent chemical resistance and compatibility with various media.

Flexible mounting options include threaded ports, flanges, and sub-base connections, allowing versatile installation tailored to different system requirements.

The modular design permits individual mounting or installation on a sub-base manifold, helping reduce overall installation time and save space.

A manual override feature is incorporated to facilitate easy commissioning, maintenance tasks, and emergency operation if needed.

With an IP65 rating, the device is dust-tight and protected against water jets when combined with a proper cable plug, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environmental conditions.

The vibration-proof coil system, employing a bolted coil design, guarantees secure operation even in high-vibration environments.

Energy-saving versions are available featuring Kick and Drop coils, which reduce electrical power consumption during operation.

For hazardous area applications, ATEX-certified explosion-proof variants are offered, enhancing safety and compliance.

The leak rate is exceptionally low, at less than 10⁻⁴ mbar liters per second, making it suitable for critical applications requiring high sealing integrity.

Finally, the solenoid coil can be oriented freely through 360°, or locked in four positions at 90° intervals. This versatility simplifies wiring and installation.
