Product Description:

The Burkert 6013 series consists of direct-acting plunger solenoid valves, engineered to provide dependable control over both neutral and aggressive gases and liquids within industrial automation and process applications. These compact valves are designed with a welded stopper and plunger guide tube construction, which significantly enhances their pressure resistance and ensures leak-tight performance. This robust design guarantees long-term reliability even under the most demanding environmental conditions.

Available in a 2/2-way normally closed configuration (Circuit Function C), the series offers a variety of port sizes, including G1/8, G1/4, and G3/8. The orifice diameters range from 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm, with options of 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, and 6.0 mm. This selection of orifice sizes provides exceptional flexibility to accommodate applications from small dosing processes to higher flow requirements. The valve bodies come in brass or stainless steel, and the standard sealing material is FKM (fluororubber), capable of handling media temperatures between -10°C and +100°C, with special versions available for operation up to +120°C.

The direct-acting plunger mechanism allows the valve to operate efficiently from 0 bar up to 25 bar, depending on the orifice size and voltage applied. This makes the valves ideal for applications that require zero differential pressure operation, such as technical vacuum environments. Each valve is fitted with a robust, epoxy-encapsulated coil consuming either 8W or 10W, supporting a 100% continuous duty cycle. Voltage options include DC 24V, AC 24V, and AC 220V, with a ±10% tolerance to ensure stable performance.

Featuring a modular design, the 6013 series can be mounted individually, attached via flange connection, or assembled into manifolds using a sub-base. An optional manual override is available, enabling straightforward commissioning and maintenance. The valves provide IP65 protection when paired with an appropriate cable plug compliant with DIN EN 175301-803 Form A standards. With rapid response times—opening in 20 milliseconds and closing in 30 milliseconds—and a compact footprint, these valves are perfect for space-saving installations. Additionally, ATEX-certified versions are offered for use in hazardous area applications.

Features:

Direct-Acting Operation

This valve offers reliable switching performance from 0 bar up to 25 bar without requiring any minimum differential pressure. It is especially suited for use in vacuum and low-pressure environments, providing dependable operation across a wide range of conditions.

Compact and Space-Saving Design

Featuring a small footprint, the device accommodates orifice diameters up to DN 6.0. Its compact form makes it ideal for installations where space is limited, such as in tight assembly areas or complex manifold setups.

Robust Construction

The solenoid valve incorporates a welded stopper and plunger guide tube that significantly improve pressure resistance and ensure leak-tightness. This design enhancement contributes to the valve’s long-term reliability and durability.

Material Options for Varied Applications

Available in both brass and stainless steel, the valve body materials offer excellent resistance against corrosion. This versatility allows it to handle neutral as well as aggressive media effectively.

Versatile Port and Orifice Sizes

The valve is offered with port sizes G1/8, G1/4, and G3/8, along with orifice diameters ranging from 2.0 mm to 6.0 mm (2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, and 6.0 mm). These options enable customization to meet different flow and operational requirements.

Normally Closed Configuration for Safety

The valve operates in a normally closed (NC) circuit function C mode, providing fail-safe operation to meet strict process control standards and safety protocols.

Wide Voltage Compatibility

It supports a broad range of voltage inputs including DC24V, AC24V, and AC220V. With power consumption options of 8W or 10W, the valve is compatible with global power supply standards.
