BFEC electromagnetic pulse valves represent the flagship products of Shanghai Bag Filtration Equipment Co., Ltd., which is currently known as Shanghai Bag Filter Technology Co., Ltd. The company traces its roots back to the environmental protection department of Shanghai Carbon Factory. Since 1978, it has been supplying pulse valves and dust removal products, and in 1997, it formed a joint venture with the American company Gore. As a standing council member of the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, the company plays a leading role in establishing industry standards, having contributed to one national standard, five industry standards, and five group standards. It also holds more than 70 intellectual property rights and has obtained CE and PCEC certifications.

A pulse valve functions as the "switch" for compressed air in a pulse-jet baghouse dust collector. It is controlled by electrical signals from a pulse controller, which causes the valve to open and close instantaneously. This action releases high-pressure air from the air manifold in short bursts into the filter bags. The resulting rapid expansion and vibration of the bags help to dislodge the accumulated dust, maintaining the efficiency of the filtration system.
