BFEC electromagnetic pulse valves represent the flagship products of Shanghai Bag Filtration Equipment Co., Ltd., which is currently known as Shanghai Bag Filter Technology Co., Ltd. The company traces its origins back to the environmental protection department of Shanghai Carbon Factory. Since 1978, it has been providing pulse valves and dedusting products. In 1997, it established a joint venture with the U.S.-based company Gore. As a standing council member of the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, the company has played a pivotal role in the development of industry standards, having led the formulation of one national standard, five industry standards, and five group standards. It holds more than 70 intellectual property rights and has secured CE and PCEC certifications.

The pulse valve functions as the essential "switch" for compressed air within pulse-jet baghouse dust collectors. It operates through electrical signals sent from the pulse controller, enabling the valve to open and close instantaneously. This action releases high-pressure air pulses from the air manifold into the filter bags, which causes rapid expansion and vibration of the bags to effectively dislodge accumulated dust particles.
