The Burkert 6213 EV series consists of servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm solenoid valves that are engineered to provide dependable shut-off, dosing, and filling of neutral gaseous and liquid media. These valves are widely used in industrial automation and various process applications. A notable feature of this series is its spring-coupled diaphragm, which aids the opening mechanism, ensuring reliable function even from zero bar differential pressure. Additionally, the valves incorporate a damped design that contributes to quiet closing and reduces operational noise.
Available in a 2/2-way normally closed configuration (Circuit Function A), the 6213 EV series offers port sizes ranging from G3/8 to G1 and orifice diameters between 10 mm and 25 mm (DN 10 to DN 25). This variety of orifice sizes allows for exceptional flow flexibility, which can accommodate applications from precise small-scale dosing to higher flow demands, with KV values reaching up to 11 m³/h. The valve bodies come in brass as the standard material, compliant with European drinking water regulations. For other markets, dezincification-resistant brass is offered, and stainless steel options are available for more aggressive media. Seals and diaphragms are made from materials such as NBR, FKM (fluororubber), and EPDM, suitable for media temperatures in the range of -30°C to +120°C. Furthermore, the solenoid coils are encapsulated in chemically resistant epoxy for enhanced durability.
The servo-assisted diaphragm design typically requires a minimum differential pressure to achieve full opening in the standard liquid version. However, a special HP00 variant has been developed specifically for gas and vacuum applications where the valve opens without any differential pressure. Robust polyamide or epoxy-encapsulated coils with a power consumption of 8W are used, enabling a 100% continuous duty cycle. Voltage supply options include DC24V, AC24V, and AC220V, all with a tolerance of ±10%. To optimize energy efficiency, Kick-and-Drop (KD) coils incorporating double coil technology are available. Electrical connections are made via a tag connector that complies with DIN EN 175301-803 Form A (previously DIN 43650), which ensures IP65 protection when paired with a suitable cable plug. Installation flexibility is a key advantage, as the valves can be mounted in any position, though upright actuator placement is preferred.
Thanks to a modular design, the 6213 EV series supports versatile installation options along with a vibration-proof, screwed coil system. Combining high flow rates in a compact format with low power consumption and an extensive selection of materials, this valve series delivers reliable and leak-tight performance. It is an excellent choice for demanding fluid control applications where durability and precision are essential.
The spring-coupled diaphragm supports the opening process, ensuring reliable operation starting from zero bar differential pressure. This innovative design enhances performance and durability under varying pressure conditions.
Featuring Circuit function A, this valve configuration provides fail-safe operation to meet stringent process control requirements, ensuring safety and reliability in critical applications.
The valve is available with port sizes ranging from G3/8 to G1, accompanied by orifice diameters from 10 mm to 25 mm (DN 10 to DN 25). This variety allows it to accommodate a broad spectrum of flow demands.
Constructed from brass—with an option resistant to dezincification—and stainless steel, the body provides excellent corrosion resistance suitable for both neutral and aggressive media environments.
Seal and diaphragm materials include NBR (operating range -10°C to +80°C), FKM (0°C to +120°C), and EPDM (-30°C to +90°C), offering extensive compatibility with a wide range of media.
Designed with a compact form factor, the valve supports high flow rates with Kv values up to 11 m³/h, facilitating efficient system operation.
The damped design ensures quiet closing, significantly reducing audible noise during valve operation.
An anti-waterhammer feature is integrated to guarantee smooth operation and prevent pressure surges that could lead to system damage.
Compatible with global power supplies, the valve operates on DC24V, AC24V, and AC220V, consuming only 8W of power.
The valve is engineered for continuous operation without the risk of overheating, ensuring dependable long-term performance.
Featuring Kick-and-Drop (KD) coils with double coil technology, this option reduces electrical power consumption during operation, promoting energy efficiency.
The valve offers dust-tight protection and is safeguarded against water jets when used with a suitable cable plug as per DIN EN 175301-803 Form A standards.
A sealed and bolted coil system ensures secure and reliable performance even in environments subject to high vibrations.
This special version is designed to open without the need for differential pressure, making it ideal for gas and vacuum applications.
With appropriate material choices, the valve is suitable for use in drinking water systems, complying with relevant hygiene standards.
The valve can be installed in any position, although installation with the actuator upright is preferred to optimize performance.
