Burkert 6213 EV Series Diaphragm Solenoid Valves

The Burkert 6213 EV series consists of servo-assisted 2/2-way diaphragm solenoid valves, specifically engineered for dependable shut-off, precise dosing, and efficient filling of neutral gaseous and liquid media within industrial automation and process control environments. A key feature of these valves is the spring-coupled diaphragm that aids the opening mechanism, ensuring smooth and reliable functionality even from zero bar differential pressure. Additionally, their damped design promotes quiet closing action and minimizes operational noise.

These valves come configured as 2/2-way normally closed units (Circuit Function A), accommodating port sizes from G3/8 up to G1, with orifice diameters spanning 10 mm to 25 mm (DN 10 to DN 25). This extensive range of orifice sizes provides exceptional flow flexibility, ranging from small-scale dosing tasks to higher flow applications, supporting Kv values up to 11 m³/h. The valve bodies are available in brass that complies with European drinking water standards, with a dezincification-resistant brass option for diverse market requirements, and stainless steel versions designed for aggressive media environments. Seals and diaphragms utilize materials such as NBR, FKM (fluororubber), and EPDM, which are compatible with media temperature ranges from -30°C to +120°C. The solenoid coils are encapsulated using chemically resistant epoxy, ensuring durability and longevity.

The servo-assisted diaphragm mechanism typically requires a minimum differential pressure to achieve full valve opening in its standard liquid version. However, a specialized HP00 variant is available for gas and vacuum applications, which can open the valve without the need for differential pressure. The valves feature sturdy polyamide or epoxy-coated coils that consume 8 watts of power, supporting a 100% continuous duty cycle. Voltage supply options include DC 24V, AC 24V, and AC 220V, each with a ±10% tolerance. To optimize energy efficiency during operation, Kick-and-Drop (KD) coils employing double coil technology are also offered. Electrical connections are facilitated via a tag connector compliant with DIN EN 175301-803 Form A standards (previously DIN 43650), providing IP65 protection when paired with an appropriate cable plug. Installation flexibility is enhanced by allowing the valve to be mounted in any position, ideally with the actuator positioned upright.
