With Pressure Gauge Air Pressure Regulator

Product Description:

The SMC AR425 to AR935 series is an internally pilot-operated, relieving-type air pressure regulator. Among these, the AR825, AR835, AR925, and AR935 sub-series are part of the large-bore category, featuring port sizes ranging from 1-1/4" to 2". These regulators are specifically designed for use in central compressor stations, high-flow main lines, and multi-station centralized air supply systems.

The pilot-operated mechanism of these regulators utilizes the supply air itself to actuate the main valve. This design provides significantly improved outlet stability, reduces pressure drop at high flow rates, and minimizes outlet fluctuations despite variations in inlet pressure. These advantages make them superior to direct-acting regulators in demanding applications.

This product range includes 14 different part numbers, covering 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" AR825/AR835 models (with gauge-equipped G versions), 2" AR925/AR935 models (also with G versions), and 2" X218 semi-standard special configurations. The high-pressure variants, denoted by "25" (AR825/AR925), have an adjustable pressure range of 0.05 to 0.83 MPa. Meanwhile, the low-pressure precision models, indicated by "35" (AR835/AR935), can be adjusted from 0.02 to 0.2 MPa.

These pressure ranges allow the regulators to meet the needs of both general pneumatic systems and low-pressure, precision-demanding applications such as electronics manufacturing, coating processes, and laboratory air supplies.

Features:

The product offers large bore ports measuring 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2" to accommodate mains and multi-drop centralized supply systems. These sizes ensure efficient flow and connectivity for various applications.

It features an internal pilot relieving mechanism that automatically releases any excess outlet pressure to the atmosphere. This design helps maintain safe and stable pressure levels during operation.

There are two available pressure ranges to suit different precision needs: a high-pressure range from 0.05 to 0.83 MPa, and a low-precision range from 0.02 to 0.2 MPa. This flexibility allows for application-specific pressure control.

The body is constructed from die-cast aluminum, providing a durable and rugged build ideal for industrial plant use. The units weigh 2.5 kg for the AR825/835 models and 4.5 kg for the AR925/935 models, reflecting their robust construction.

Models with the G suffix come equipped with a panel pressure gauge from the G46 series. This gauge facilitates clear and easy local pressure readings, enhancing user convenience and monitoring accuracy.

The X218 suffix indicates an SMC semi-standard special configuration. Customers interested in this option should consult with our sales team to confirm the exact specifications tailored to their requirements.

To prevent unintended adjustments after setting, a locking screw is provided on the adjusting handle. This feature ensures that the pressure settings remain secure throughout operation.

Thread options are available upon request, including Rc (PTF), NPT (F), and G threads. This variety allows compatibility with different piping standards to suit diverse installation needs.

Applications:

Central compressor stations play a crucial role in managing the pressure reduction of main air lines. These stations ensure that the compressed air is distributed efficiently and safely throughout the entire system.

Large-scale operations often utilize high-flow compressed air mains combined with a plant-wide centralized air supply. This setup provides a reliable and continuous source of compressed air for various industrial processes.

Automated assembly lines that span multiple stations rely on pneumatic systems for assembly, packaging, and conveying tasks. These systems improve efficiency and consistency across the production line.

Pneumatic manipulators, including large bore cylinders and clusters of pneumatic grippers, are widely used for precise handling and control of components in manufacturing environments.

In addition, spray booths, air blow-off stations, and high-volume process air points utilize compressed air to maintain cleanliness and enhance operational effectiveness.

Heavy industries such as mining, metallurgy, cement production, and power plants depend heavily on robust compressed air systems to support their demanding processes.

Furthermore, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) machines in sectors like textile, printing, paper, and packaging integrate pneumatic components to improve performance and reliability.
