The NORGREN 18D Series (Model 0880 / 0881) is an electro-mechanical pneumatic pressure switch that has been extensively used as a reliable diaphragm-actuated pressure monitoring device in industrial automation. It is designed for applications such as pressure alarms, interlock systems, and loop control. This series supports a wide range of pressures, from vacuum conditions up to 30 bar working pressure, and offers various port connection options including G1/4, 1/4 NPT, and flange mounting.

Users can choose between two electrical connection types: DIN EN 175301-803 Form-A and M12×1 IEC 947-5-2. The product line also includes LABS-free variants as well as brass-body models specially intended for water service applications. These configurations make the switch suitable for use with neutral gases, liquids, and water-based media, adapting to diverse working conditions.

The switch is equipped with a gold-plated contact microswitch certified by UL and CSA, ensuring intrinsically safe operation and resistance to vibrations up to 15 g. Standard models feature an aluminium alloy housing, while water-application versions use brass housings. Seal options include NBR and FPM materials. Note: It is recommended to set pressure points within the middle range of the device’s operational pressure. Users should never exceed the rated pressure indicated on the nameplate. For inductive loads, appropriate spark-quenching protection circuits are necessary. Connectors are sold separately, and either DIN or M12 plugs are not included with the product.
