The NORGREN 18D Series (Model 0880 / 0881) electro-mechanical pneumatic pressure switch is a reliable diaphragm-actuated pressure monitor designed for industrial automation applications. It is ideal for pressure alarm, interlock, and loop control functions. This series accommodates a wide pressure range, covering from vacuum levels up to 30 bar working pressure, and offers multiple port options including G1/4, 1/4 NPT, and flange mounting.

Customers can select from two electrical connection types: the DIN EN 175301-803 Form-A and the M12×1 IEC 947-5-2. Additionally, there are LABS-free variants and brass-body versions specifically designed for water service, making them suitable for neutral gas, liquid, and water-based media environments.

Each unit is equipped with a gold-plated contact microswitch that has been certified by UL and CSA. These switches are built for intrinsically safe operation and can withstand vibrations up to 15 g. The mechanical service life of the switch can reach up to 10⁷ switching cycles, ensuring excellent repeatability and durability. The standard housing is constructed from aluminum alloy, while brass housings are available for water-application models. Sealing options include NBR and FPM materials, and the device provides a maximum ingress protection rating of IP67, suitable for demanding factory environments.

When the system pressure reaches the preset set-point, the SPDT micro-switch will output an electrical signal to trigger machine interlocks, alarms, or on-off control for pneumatic machines, hydraulic circuits, and water-treatment equipment.

Note: Set-points should ideally be set near the middle of the pressure range. Do not exceed the rated pressure indicated on the nameplate. Inductive loads require spark-quenching protection circuits. Connectors are sold separately; DIN or M12 plugs are not included.
