Product Description:

IMI Norgren non-return valves are premium inline one-way pneumatic components specifically engineered to allow free flow of compressed air in one direction while completely preventing any reverse back-flow in pneumatic circuits. This robust range of products is designed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of pneumatic systems.

The Norgren collection is categorized into four main product families. These include the heavy-duty brass S/520-S/532 threaded non-return valves, the push-in tube-to-tube T50P non-return valves, the lightweight and compact T55 inline non-return valves, and the T60 Air Fuse inline excess-flow automatic shut-off safety valves. Each family addresses different industrial pneumatic needs with unique features.

The S/520-S/532 heavy-duty series features a durable brass body built to withstand high-pressure industrial working conditions up to 16 bar. These valves are available with G and NPT thread options, and there is also a high-temperature variant capable of operating at temperatures up to +150°C, equipped with FPM seals for enhanced performance.

The T50P push-in non-return valves utilize a quick-connect design for tube connections ranging from 4 to 12 mm outer diameter. This design supports vacuum conditions down to -0.9 bar and offers an ultra-low cracking pressure between 0.03 and 0.05 bar. Its quick and simple assembly process requires no thread sealing, making it highly convenient for field installation.

The T55 inline non-return valve is crafted from lightweight aluminum and is free from silicone, making it suitable for sensitive applications. It boasts a low cracking pressure of 0.05 bar and a compact form factor ideal for installations with limited space. The valve operates at pressures up to 10 bar and supports port sizes ranging from G1/8 to G1/2.

The T60 Air Fuse is a specialized uni-directional excess-flow shut-off safety valve. It automatically cuts off the air flow if a hose rupture or large leakage occurs, providing essential safety protection for flexible hoses. Once the fault is resolved, the valve resets automatically. This product complies with industrial pneumatic safety regulations, ensuring reliable operation in safety-critical applications.

All Norgren non-return valves are designed for use with filtered compressed air, whether lubricated or non-lubricated. They undergo rigorous testing in accordance with the ISO-6358 standard, assuring high quality and performance. These valves are widely adopted across factory automation pneumatic circuits around the world.

Applications:

The automation of industrial factories extensively relies on pneumatic control circuits. These systems play a crucial role in managing and operating various machinery efficiently and reliably.

Pneumatic technology finds applications in numerous sectors, including machine tools, packaging machines, and textile equipment. Each of these industries benefits from the precision and responsiveness provided by pneumatic control.

In robotic applications, pneumatic actuators are commonly used within loop control systems. Additionally, mechanisms such as cylinder back-flow prevention ensure the safe and smooth functioning of robotic movements.

Protecting essential components like compressors, air dryers, and air preparation units is critical to maintaining overall system performance and longevity. Proper safeguards help avoid downtime and costly repairs.

Safety measures are also implemented to handle emergencies such as flexible air-hose ruptures. For instance, the mandatory use of T60 Air Fuses provides an effective safety solution to prevent accidents and equipment damage.

Pneumatic systems are vital in conveying and material-handling equipment, facilitating efficient transport and processing within manufacturing environments.

They are also widely utilized in automotive assembly lines and printing machinery, where precise control and reliability are paramount for high-quality production.

Vacuum pneumatic circuits, particularly those in the T50P series, offer specialized functions tailored for vacuum applications, enhancing versatility in pneumatic system design.
