Product Description:

The ZFC series consists of compact in-line air suction filters that are specifically designed to safeguard vacuum equipment from dust, particles, and other contaminants. These impurities can cause operational issues within pneumatic vacuum circuits. By being installed directly in the suction line, between the vacuum generator and the suction cup, these filters effectively prevent debris from reaching critical components such as vacuum pumps, ejectors, and valves, thereby prolonging their service life.

One of the standout features of the ZFC series is its dual-pressure capability. This single filter unit can manage both vacuum pressure down to −100 kPa and positive pressure up to 1.0 MPa. This versatility makes it ideal for use in combined vacuum-and-blow-off circuits without the need for separate filter devices. Additionally, the filters come equipped with one-touch fittings that allow for quick and tool-free connection or disconnection of tubes. The cartridge-type filter element can be replaced simply by opening the cover with one touch, even while the filter remains connected to the piping system.

The ZFC series accommodates a range of port sizes, from ø4 mm to ø12 mm for metric options, and from ø5/32″ to ø3/8″ for inch sizes. It supports recommended flow rates between 10 L/min and 100 L/min (ANR) under vacuum conditions. Filtration options include 5 μm or 10 μm elements, with the standard 10 μm filter providing an impressive 95% filtration efficiency. The filter case is made from special clear nylon, with some models offering polycarbonate as a standard alternative, allowing users to visually monitor the filter element for contamination. For secure mounting on panels or machines, the models with a B suffix come with an included mounting bracket.

Features:

This product offers dual compatibility with both positive and vacuum pressures, efficiently handling vacuum levels down to −100 kPa and positive pressures up to 1.0 MPa. This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications requiring reliable pressure management.

Installation and maintenance are simplified with one-touch fittings, enabling quick, tool-free connection and disconnection of tubes. This feature greatly reduces downtime and enhances ease of use in various operational settings.

The cartridge-type element design allows for fast replacement by simply opening the cover with a single touch. No tools are required for this process, and it can even be performed while the piping remains connected, facilitating swift maintenance.

Safety is enhanced by a lock mechanism that prevents components from scattering if they become loosened during positive pressure operations. This ensures secure and orderly handling during use.

The transparent case, made from special clear nylon or polycarbonate, provides excellent visibility for inspecting element contamination. This visual access helps in monitoring and maintaining optimal performance.

Filtration options include 5 μm or 10 μm elements, with the standard 10 μm element offering a filtration efficiency of 95%. This ensures effective filtering to protect downstream equipment.

Constructed from molded resin, the unit is compact and lightweight, with the ZFC100 series weighing just 11.5 grams. This makes it easy to integrate into systems where space and weight are considerations.

Models with the B-suffix come equipped with a mounting bracket, providing secure installation options to suit different setups and enhance stability during operation.

The product accommodates a broad range of port sizes, supporting metric tubing from ø4 to ø12 mm, as well as inch tubing ranging from ø5/32″ to ø3/8″. This flexibility allows it to be used with various tubing standards.

Flow rates vary from 10 to 100 liters per minute (ANR), making the unit ideal for small to medium vacuum circuits. This range offers adaptability to diverse system flow requirements.

It is compatible with various tubing materials including nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane, and soft polyurethane, ensuring versatility in different industrial environments.

The device operates effectively within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C, preventing freezing issues and maintaining consistent performance.

Element differential pressure resistance varies by series: 0.15 MPa for the ZFC10 and ZFC20 series, and 0.10 MPa for the ZFC05 series, ensuring durability under specified operating conditions.

Applications:

Vacuum suction cup protection plays a crucial role in preventing dust and particles from entering the vacuum circuit. This safeguarding helps avoid damage to essential components such as ejectors or pumps, thereby ensuring the efficient functioning and longevity of the system.

In pick-and-place systems, filtration is applied on both robotic hands and the suction lines used in material handling. This filtration is essential to maintain cleanliness and reliability during automated handling processes.

Within the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries, vacuum circuits require protection during delicate operations such as chip picking, optical lens handling, and precision assembly. Proper vacuum filtration contributes to the accuracy and quality of these high-tech manufacturing procedures.

Automotive assembly benefits from vacuum adsorption techniques for transferring and retaining body panels and components. Effective vacuum filtration ensures consistent performance in these vacuum-based handling tasks.

The food and medical equipment sectors utilize vacuum filtration extensively in packaging, processing, and medical device assembly. Maintaining a contaminant-free vacuum environment is critical for meeting hygiene and safety standards.

In printing machinery, vacuum hold-down and transfer applications rely on filtration to maintain clean vacuum circuits, which enhances the precision and reliability of printing operations.

Automatic transfer equipment incorporates vacuum filtration to protect vacuum generators and valves within automated production lines, thereby preventing potential malfunctions and maintaining smooth operation.

Systems that combine vacuum and blow-off circuits benefit from using a single filter capable of handling both vacuum adsorption and positive-pressure release. This integrated filtration approach simplifies maintenance and improves overall system efficiency.
