Product Description:

These replacement filter elements have been specifically designed for use with the ZFC series in-line air suction filters. Their main function is to protect vacuum circuits by filtering out dust and particles that could potentially cause operational issues within pneumatic systems. By supplying these elements as spare cartridges, it is possible to keep the existing filter housing, one-touch fittings, and mounting bracket intact. This approach allows only the contaminated filter media to be replaced, which significantly reduces maintenance costs and minimizes waste compared to replacing the entire filter assembly.

There are four different element part numbers that correspond to the full range of ZFC body sizes available. The ZFC-EL-1 element fits the ZFC1 body with dimensions of φ5 × φ3 × L11 mm. The ZFC-EL-2 element is designed for the ZFC3 body, measuring φ6 × φ4 × L25 mm. For the ZFC5 body, which has dimensions of φ12 × φ8 × L20 mm, the ZFC-EL-3 element is suitable. Lastly, the ZFC-EL-4 element matches the ZFC7 body size of φ16 × φ12 × L25 mm. These elements come with filtration options of either 5 µm or 10 µm. The 10 µm variant achieves a 95% collection efficiency and is recommended for replacement when the differential pressure reaches 0.1 MPa under a 20 kPa vacuum. Generally, cartridges are provided in sets of ten for convenient workshop stocking.

The filter elements are made from either PVF (polyvinyl fluoride) or sintered resin, depending on the specific part number and filtration grade selected. This material choice ensures excellent chemical compatibility with compressed air and nitrogen applications. Replacing the elements is straightforward and requires no special tools: simply release the locking mechanism, rotate the cover approximately 90 degrees counterclockwise, remove the old element, and insert the new cartridge before securing the cover back in place. Additionally, there is a blue element option (X03) available, which enhances the visibility of captured white foreign particles during inspections.

Features:

The complete range of ZFC body sizes is covered by four specific part numbers: ZFC-EL-1 (ZFC1), ZFC-EL-2 (ZFC3), ZFC-EL-3 (ZFC5), and ZFC-EL-4 (ZFC7). These elements are designed to fit perfectly within their respective housing units, ensuring optimal filtration performance across all models.

Filtration options include either 5 µm or 10 µm ratings, with the 10 µm version being the standard offering. This standard filter provides a high collection efficiency of approximately 95%, effectively removing contaminants from compressed air or nitrogen.

The filter media is available in either polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) or sintered resin, both of which offer excellent chemical compatibility with compressed air and nitrogen environments. This ensures durability and reliable operation under various conditions.

Designed for convenience, the elements feature a tool-free replacement mechanism. Thanks to a locking system combined with a 90-degree cover rotation, cartridges can be changed quickly and easily without the need to disconnect any tubing, minimizing downtime.

The ZFC filter system retains the existing housing and fittings when replacing elements. This approach not only reduces maintenance costs but also contributes to waste minimization, as only the contaminated filter element is exchanged rather than the entire unit.

For easier inspection, a blue element option (X03) is available. This coloring highlights white foreign matter on the media, allowing maintenance personnel to identify contamination quickly and efficiently.

Filter elements are commonly supplied in convenient sets of 10 pieces. This packaging supports efficient inventory management and ensures that workshops are well-stocked for scheduled maintenance activities.

These elements are compatible with both positive pressure and vacuum circuits. The parent ZFC filter housing can operate within a pressure range from −100 kPa up to 1.0 MPa, offering flexibility for diverse application requirements.

Preventive maintenance is facilitated by a clear replacement trigger at a differential pressure of 0.1 MPa, indicating when the filter element should be changed to maintain optimal performance.

The lightweight design of the cartridges reduces handling effort and saves storage space compared to replacing entire filter units. This makes the maintenance process more efficient and user-friendly.

This replacement filter element is an essential part of the suction cup complete and is designed as Vacuum Accessories to enhance the performance of your vacuum system.

Applications:

Scheduled maintenance of vacuum filters often involves replacing only the filter element, while keeping the existing ZFC housing, brackets, and one-touch fittings intact. This approach ensures efficient upkeep without the need for complete system overhauls.

In pick-and-place vacuum circuits, protecting ejectors and vacuum pumps from dust contamination is crucial, especially on robotic handling lines. Proper filtration helps maintain the performance and longevity of these automated systems.

The semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industries require precise element replacement within vacuum suction lines. This is particularly important for handling delicate components such as chips, lenses, and other precision parts, where cleanliness and reliability are paramount.

Automotive assembly lines utilize vacuum adsorption circuits for transferring body panels and various components. Regular maintenance and element replacement in these vacuum systems help ensure smooth operation throughout the manufacturing process.

In food and medical equipment production, maintaining vacuum filtration is essential for packaging, processing, and device assembly. High standards of hygiene and reliability are supported by consistent filter element renewal.

The printing and paper handling sectors rely on vacuum hold-down and transfer circuits that require routine replacement of filter elements. This practice supports continuous and efficient operation of printing presses and material handlers.

Workshops often keep stock of 10-piece element sets to support multi-station vacuum systems and facilitate planned shutdown maintenance. Having these replacement sets readily available minimizes downtime and maintains system productivity.
