Product Description:

The ZFC series consists of compact in-line air suction filters specifically designed to safeguard vacuum equipment from dust and particulate matter that can cause operational issues in pneumatic vacuum circuits. These filters are installed directly in the suction line between the vacuum generator and the suction cup. By doing so, they effectively prevent debris from entering vacuum pumps, ejectors, and valves, thereby enhancing the longevity of essential vacuum components.

An important feature of the ZFC series is its dual-pressure capability. A single filter unit can handle vacuum pressures as low as −100 kPa as well as positive pressures up to 1.0 MPa. This makes the series ideal for combined vacuum-and-blow-off circuits without needing separate filter units. Additionally, the one-touch fittings enable quick and tool-free connection and disconnection of tubes. The cartridge-type filter element can be replaced easily by opening the cover with one touch, even while the filter remains connected to the piping system.

The ZFC series accommodates port sizes ranging from ø2 mm to ø12 mm in metric specifications and from ø1/8″ to ø3/8″ in inch specifications. Recommended flow rates under vacuum conditions range from 2 L/min to 100 L/min (ANR). Filtration options include 5 μm or 10 μm elements, with the standard filter element providing 95% filtration efficiency. The transparent casing is constructed from special clear nylon, with polycarbonate available as a standard option for some variants, allowing users to visually inspect the element for contamination easily.

For specialized applications requiring different inlet and outlet tubing sizes, differential-diameter configurations (X01/X02) are offered. The X01 variant features an inlet smaller than the outlet (for example, IN ø4 mm and OUT ø6 mm), whereas the X02 has an inlet larger than the outlet (for example, IN ø8 mm and OUT ø6 mm). This design flexibility allows the filter to be perfectly matched to existing piping layouts without the need for additional adapters. Models with a B suffix come equipped with a mounting bracket, providing stable installation options on panels or machinery.

Features:

This unit offers dual compatibility with both positive and vacuum pressures, effectively handling vacuum levels down to −100 kPa and positive pressures up to 1.0 MPa. Such versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications requiring precise pressure management.

Equipped with one-touch fittings, the device allows for quick and tool-free connection and disconnection of tubes, significantly reducing setup and maintenance time. The cartridge-type element further enhances convenience by enabling rapid replacement simply by opening the cover with one touch, eliminating the need for any tools.

Safety and durability are ensured through a lock mechanism that prevents components from scattering if loosened during positive pressure operations. Additionally, the transparent case, made from special clear nylon or polycarbonate, permits easy visual inspection of the element's condition to monitor contamination levels effectively.

The filtration system features elements with 5 μm or 10 μm ratings, providing a standard filtration efficiency of 95%. Its compact and lightweight design, constructed from molded resin, results in the ZFC050 series units weighing only between 4.3 and 4.9 grams, facilitating easy integration into various setups.

For mounting convenience, B-type models come with a B-suffix bracket included. The device also offers differential-diameter options (X01/X02), allowing the inlet and outlet tubing sizes to differ. This feature enables seamless connection to existing piping without the requirement for adapters.

Its broad port range supports tubing diameters from ø2 to ø12 mm for metric sizes and from ø1/8″ to ø3/8″ for inch sizes. The flow rates span from 2 to 100 L/min (ANR), making the unit suitable for applications ranging from micro to medium vacuum circuits.

The system is compatible with various tubing materials, including nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane, and soft polyurethane. It is designed to operate reliably within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C, avoiding freezing issues, and features a proof pressure rating of 1.5 MPa to ensure a safety margin against pressure surges.

Applications:

Vacuum suction cup protection plays a crucial role in preventing dust and particles from entering the vacuum circuit, thereby safeguarding ejectors and pumps from potential damage. This ensures the longevity and reliable operation of vacuum systems.

In pick-and-place systems, filtration is essential on the robotic hands and material handling suction lines to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. This filtration helps optimize the performance of robotic operations by keeping the vacuum lines free from contaminants.

The semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry relies heavily on vacuum circuit protection during critical processes such as chip picking, optical lens handling, and precision assembly. Proper filtration safeguards sensitive components and maintains product quality.

Automotive assembly also benefits from vacuum technology, particularly in vacuum adsorption transfer and retention applications. These are commonly used in handling body panels and various components, where clean and reliable vacuum sources are vital.

In food and medical equipment sectors, vacuum filtration is employed throughout packaging, processing, and medical device assembly stages. This helps maintain hygienic conditions and ensures the safety of products and devices.

Printing machinery often utilizes vacuum hold-down and transfer filtration systems to ensure steady paper handling and high-quality output. Proper vacuum filtration contributes to smooth operations and reduces downtime caused by contamination.

Automatic transfer equipment requires strong protection for vacuum generators and valves used in automated production lines. Filtration solutions help prevent damage and maintain consistent vacuum performance across complex manufacturing setups.

For systems with differential-diameter piping layouts, X01 and X02 filter configurations are ideal. These are designed to accommodate varying inlet and outlet tube sizes without the need for additional adapters, reducing the risk of leaks and simplifying installation.
